Into the East

Four days of eastern germany with my exploration buddy and friend since kidnergarden "L". As a goal we set three locations from Hamburg to Berlin. The wild east never failed to surprise us small-town westerners.

The Adventure started not very far from home, in a place dubbed "Forest-Hospital". The Hospital really deserved that name, being located in the middle of a nature sanctuary. Surrounded by trees one could feel how noble the hospital must have been.

After many desperate attempts, we finally managed to get lodging in Potsdam. From Potsdam we went and visited the spa town of Beelitz. There, also located in a dense forest, was laying the Beelitzer Heilstätten, a tuberculosis sanatarium build in the late 19th century.

Even though there was another location on the plan we had to scrap it after a maintenance worker greeted us at the gate. After this little setback we decided to find Lager Koralle. The Camp (Lager) was a bunkercomplex from WW2 and was housing the Navy Command Center during WW2. There we literally stumbled over a nice surprise buried in the ground.

In-detail posts about all locations and other stuff that happend on the trip will follow soon.
